Normally I make fun of Zelenskyy, but he's not always the biggest clown in any given situation. Take the last week of Februrary 2025, for instance. Although his behavior might not have been perfect and some might even say that he was sort of biting the hand that feeds, Trump and Vance were even worse. From Zelenskyy's perspective, the deal proposed by Trump wasn't likely to do his country any good. Some would say that Trump was taking advantage of a country with no options. Of course, hardcore Trump fans applaud the president's behavior and blame everything on Zelenskyy. That said, it is sometimes the case that all leaders involved in a situation fall short of what might be characterized as diplomatic or effective behavior and fail to exhibit proper decorum.
