Although I'm one of those people who likes to put a lot of stuff in a sandwich, this song is about someone who believes in the KISS principle when it comes to sandwiches. Of course, KISS stands for Keep It Simple Stupid and it is a good principle to keep in mind when it comes to situations or projects which become unnecessarily complicated. However, the KISS principle doesn't necessarily apply to sandwiches, although there's nothing wrong with keeping a sandwich simple. Fancy sandwiches containing a long list of ingredients can get tiresome if consumed too often and a simple, plain sandwich every now and then can give the taste buds the break they need. Lots of things in life are that way, come to think about it, which is all the more reason to keep the KISS principle in mind at all times. Sometimes life is complicated, but there's no need to make it any more complicated than absolutely necessary.
