Although the word ass is used in the Bible, many people still consider it to be an impolite word. Most people realize that ass has three meanings: donkey, jerk, or derriere (aka, buttocks). However, ass also gets used an an intensifier in the following examples:

Basically, common intensifiers are words such as very, extremely, or incredibly and they are used to emphasize the adjective they precede. However, when ass is used as an intensifier the order is changed so that the word ass comes after the adjective it modifies. Generally speaking the grammatical formula looks like this:
