 | The long hand is called the minute hand. The
short hand is called the hour hand. When the long hand is pointing at the 12
and the short hand is pointing 7 it is 7 o'clock. |

the short hand is pointing at the 11 it is 11 o'clock. |
NOTE:
Show the student as many analog clocks and watches as you can find. Point
out the hour hand and the minute hand on each. Explain that there are 24
hours in a day. Associate daily events with the times when they occur.
