Lesson Nineteen: Perimeter and Area

Here's another rectangle. 


     AREA = 13 x 55 = 715 square units

     PERIMETER = 13 + 13 + 55 + 55 = 136 units
We could also simply describe a rectangle and figure out its area and perimeter like this: 

    Find the area and perimeter of a rectangle with
         length:  8
         width:   7

    AREA: 56 square units
    PERIMETER: 30 units
