If you know how long something travels at a constant speed, you can figure
out how far that object has traveled. Consider this problem:
Jill rides her bike at a constant speed of 15 miles per hour for 2 hours without stopping. How far did she ride her bike?
Here's another example:
Jimmy walked for four hours without stopping at a constant rate of 4 miles per hour. How far did he walk?

TIME * SPEED = DISTANCE
7 hrs 8 mph = 56 miles
4 hrs * 2 mph = 8 miles
